8 oz cream cheese softened
1/4 c butter
1/4 c granulated sugar
2 t vanilla
1 t ground cinnamon
2 1/2 c milk
1 loaf French bread cut into thick slices
3 c cranberries, divided
1 c maple syrup
2 T granulated sugar
Heat oven to 350. Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon until well blended. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition then stir in milk.
Pour cream cheese mixture over 1 c of the cranberries and bread in large bowl and toss lightly. Let stand 15 minutes rearranging bread in bowl occasionally to moisten.
Place in rows in greased rectangular baking dish. Pour any remaining cream cheese mixture over bread then bake 45 minutes.
Bring syrup to boil in medium saucepan then add remaining cranberries and sugar. Cook stirring occasionally then cool sauce slightly and serve with toast.
