1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (28 oz) can of whole tomatoes with juice
1 (15 oz_ can tomato sauce
2 (15 oz) cans dark kidney beans, drained
1 (15 oz) can light kidney beans, drained
1 t salt
1 T chili powder
1/2 t cumin
1/4 t black pepper
Cook the beef and onion in a frying pan. Drain off the grease. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer till hot.
Time: 60 minutes Serves: 4-6
This is my default chili because I usually have all of these ingredients in the house. Serve with honey cornbread.
